Excursion Program – Entertainment
“Village Culture – Donkey Riding”
Spend a day discovering traditional Cypriot culture. Our first stop will be at Kelokedara village, where we will change transport to an old Bedford village bus, still in action today. Travelling with our village bus through picturesque orange groves, we make our way to the Donkey farm where tender loving care (shelter, veterinary attention & a healthy breeding program) is provided for our friendly Donkeys.
Upon arrival you will have the chance to sample wine, “zivania” and try some local delicacies such as “halloumi”, olives, “sushukko” (an unusual tubular shaped concoction made of grape syrup and almonds), local oven bread, etc. Our donkey ride will take us through some pretty countryside before we will arrive at an abandoned 14th century monastery, Panayia tou Sindi, which has been restored by UNESCO. In 1997 this restoration project was granted the prestigious EUROPA NOSTRA award and was recognised as a World Cultural Heritage monument. There we will try some seasonal fruits and enjoy the unique tranquillity of this spot. The ever-patient donkeys will then take us back to the farm, where a typical BBQ meal accompanied by homemade specialities will be waiting for you with wine, zivania and juice for the children.
After the meal, you can participate in the not-to-be-missed “syrtaki” ritual. Let our Donkey Farm team surprise & entertain you with Cypriot, Greek and International music & dancing. The whole ambience is exceptional and combines a meeting with the real Cyprus countryside, original hospitality, fun, adventure, good food and unexpected entertainment. Before leaving the donkey farm you will be presented with a diploma to certify you have completed all “the challenges”…Simply the best outing in Cyprus for all ages.
Donkey Safari for a taste of Cyprus
This is the perfect way to discover and capture the original spirit of Cyprus. We leave the city behind and drive through the “Red Villages” (not far distant from the main resort areas) to our special destination, the Argonaftis Animal Park, located adjacent to the “Achna” Dam.
Upon arrival, experience the meaning of true Cypriot hospitality as you sample the local firewater “zivania”, village wine, “halloumi” cheese, olives, bread and the homemade sweet “sushoukko” (a tubular-shaped sweet made from grapes and nuts), all traditional products of Cyprus.
As you stroll around the Park you will encounter an assemblage of diverse animals worthy of Noah’s Ark: Donkeys, horses, the “Cyprus Bull,” goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, squirrels, snakes, turtles, monkeys, dogs & several kind of birds (e.g. chickens, pigeons, geese, ostriches, falcons, etc.).
Watch our special exhibit of a man handling snakes. (Don’t forget your camera to record the event for your friends back home!).
A fantastic donkey ride is next, under the watchful supervision of our professional staff to ensure both comfort and safety for the whole family. The donkeys, the most reliable form of transport in Cyprus (they never break down!), will take us through some pretty countryside before we arrive at the Church of Agios Georgios “Teratsiotis” (14th – 15th Century).
Relax in the tranquility of this unique environment with refreshments & seasonal fruit. On return to the Animal Park, enjoy a BBQ meal accompanied by home-cooked specialities with wine, zivania and juice for children. Eat, drink and be merry in the traditional farmhouse where soon you will not be able to resist the familiar rhythm of the Greek “syrtaki” dance. Our team will surprise and entertain you with Cypriot, Greek and International music and dancing.
Don’t forget to collect your souvenir certificate before you leave. This is an exceptional alternative type of entertainment with fun & adventure that will prove to be a memorable experience in Cyprus for all the family. Not to be missed!
Cyprus Night

By the end of it, you will not be able to resist joining in the fun. You will be served a typical Cypriot Meze, which consists of innumerable little delicacies that provide a satisfying and complete meal. So sit back and enjoy your Meze siga-siga or “slowly, slowly.” Your meal is accompanied by local village wine.
Fasouri Watermania – Waterpark
Our journey begins with a short stop at the only natural sponge factory on the island. See the special way that sponges are cleaned and prepared for sale, and for export to Europe. Receive some interesting information about the life and history of sponges and loofahs. Then you will be given the chance to buy any of these useful products at factory prices. An ideal gift to take back home.
Then it’s onto “Watermania,” the Limassol-area’s fabulous waterpark lying approx. 10km outside the main town, in the Phassouri plantation area. This impressive facility stands amid 65 donums of lush green parkland. Surrounded by citrus groves and set in beautiful landscaped gardens, “Watermania” Waterpark is a superb way to spend an unforgettable day outside your hotel. Relax and float along the longest lazy river that passes through caves and waterfalls, and enjoy the leafy beauty of the park around you. The 3000 sq.m. wave pool challenges you with its six different types of waves. Hold your breath on some of Europe’s highest kamikaze rides, slide through the giant aqua tube and race down the body slides. Play with your children in the Activity Pool or at the Interactive Center, especially created for young kids. The two Black Holes and the Six Lane Mat Racer will appeal to the greatest action lovers. Go ahead and try any of the eight new games that were added recently, making “Watermania” one of the top attractions for action-packed family outings.
